Tashkent State Technical University (TSTU), the oldest and most renowned university in Uzbekistan, has been named after Islam Karimov since 2017. Prior to this, from 1973 to 2017, the university was named after the famous scholar Beruni. TSTU has consistently been at the forefront of Uzbekistan's technological universities. Nearly a century has passed since its founding, and the university continues to lead the way in technical education.
